The Drivas Lab has a variety of positions open for technicians, students, and young scientists who are interested in leading pioneering research programs in molecular genetics and genomics. We are looking for highly motivated and inquisitive individuals with interest or expertise in both wet lab and computational approaches. The overarching goal of our research is to understand the intersection of common and rare disease genetics to uncover the genetic architecture and molecular mechanisms of human disease. Our lab has a particular focus on disorders affecting the primary cilium, but our science is guided by genetic discovery and we are excited to tackle interesting questions agnostic of organ system or disease pathogenesis.

All members of the Drivas Lab strongly believe that science and society are strengthened by diversity in our backgrounds and perspectives, and we are committed to creating and maintaining a supportive, inclusive, and welcoming environment for individuals of all ancestries, cultures, and backgrounds.

Postdocs!

The Drivas lab has openings immediately available for both computational and wet lab trained postdoctoral fellows. Please email a current CV and statement of interest with names and phone numbers of references to the email listed on this page. Compelling, competitive salaries can be offered, commensurate with experience.

Graduate Students!

New rotation students are welcome in the Drivas lab! Please email for a meeting to discuss potential projects and expectations. Students from all graduate groups interested in any aspect of human disease genetics are welcome; students with a background in computational genomics, human genetic data, molecular biology, or cell models of disease will find their strengths well suited for our lab.

Medical Students & Fellows!

We have numerous clinically oriented projects in both the common and rare disease genetic spaces that are well-suited for individuals with clinical training. Many of these can be pursued on a part-time basis and are ideal for busy clinic schedules. Please email a current CV and brief statement of interest to the listed email to discuss potential projects.

Motivated Undergraduates!

If you are an undergraduate student interested in an exciting and intensive research experience over summers or during the academic year, please email for a meeting to discuss available projects and opportunities to get first-hand experience in human genetic research.
